At Appeal we install thousands of conservatory blinds and window shutters each year. We always strive to make sure that our products and service are to the highest quality. Occasionally with such precise and made to measure products human error does occur. We promise that we will do our utmost to rectify any such errors as promptly as possible.

We wish to reassure you that all reviews posted on the independent FEEFO site are completely genuine and are only posted by real customers of Appeal. The system ensures that no third party can post reviews. Customers are contacted directly by the independent FEEFO organisation and their comments are posted directly onto the closed FEEFO site. No other person or persons can access the FEEFO site. We also assure you that no pressure or financial inducement is made to our customers to post favourable comments on the site. The sales exec was excellent. The installation measurement and fitment by Mike gave a sterling performance. Excellent. Fitted my 5 window shutters with great care. The only problem was the office the measurements so the order was 6 weeks late resulting in the fitting date becoming a big problem . Fortunately resolved Couldn't fault all the resulting communication with Customer Services, Louise

Service rating : They listened to what I wanted but also offered finishes I did not know about. They were very punctual and were very friendly - in the right way. It was a pleasure to meet both members of staff. I am delighted with the fitting of all the blinds.
Product : Expensive but hopefully good value. Delivered promptly by friendly, knowledgeable staff .

The blinds look great and all went well up till 2 weeks after installation. Then one broke (the spring went, so it no longer rolled up to be stored in the cassette). They sent the fitter to fix it fairly quickly. Less than a week later, another one has had exactly the same problem - but this time it was nearly a month to get an appointment. That appointment has now been cancelled as the fitter is unwell; I understand that, but there doesn't appear to be another fitter in my area (SW London). I have to leave that row of blinds permanently shut and wish that we hadn't replaced the old blinds, which were not as beautiful but worked. For that sort of money, I expected better quality.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you have experienced these issues so soon after your installation was carried out.

The detailed installation inspection and the subsequent work needs to be carried out by one of our roof blind specialists. I am confident that once the engineer has visited you will have many years of enjoyment from your blinds.

Service rating : Excellent product & service but consider aggressive the demand for final payment BEFORE the blinds had been put up. Two payments already taken prior to delivery/installation & I consider it unsatisfactory to take final payment in advance of completion.
Product : Lovely pinoleum blinds in the colour I had selected, perfect finishing touch to my renovated garden room

Service rating : The man who came to put up the new remote control blinds and app on my Mobile did very well but when he finished he REFUSED TO TAKE AWAY THE OLD BLIND and the cupboard tube which held the new blinds, this is unacceptable, most Trades people take away the old product but he flatly refused
to and did not even offer an apology
Product : I like the way he quickly installed the new blind and I am very happy with it and it is a big advantage. Over the manual blinds as my dog does not get tangled up in the remote blinds.

Appeal Reply:

I am sorry that our fitter has not communicated well enough. We can take away the old blinds and the packaging as a service to our customers and this is detailed in the survey summary you were given. We offer customers the choice of this service which has an accompanying small charge (we get charged for disposing of waste) but most customers choose to dispose of the old blind and recycle the cardboard packaging for free with their normal household waste. Once again, our apologies that this was clearly not communicated well enough.

Buying blinds from Appeal and having them, finally, fixed became the longest and most tedious series of texts and confirmation texts and confirmation of confirmations that I have ever endured with any similar household event. I suggest you just make an appointment with the client, keep your side of it, get confirmation and that's it! You appear to have too many cooks spoiling your broth. I haven't even seen the blinds, as I am still away, but I hear that they look good. I hope so. However, the journey to get them up has been extremely tedious for a busy person, who doesn't need to add to their e-mail, texts, messages coming in ad nauseam.

I can see from our records that following the survey there was a lot more communication between us than is normal to confirm the final details and specification for the blinds. Ideally, we would have met with you on site for the survey to agree these details but I understand that you were unavailable. Service rating : The enquiry procedure was efficiently and professionally handled and the salesperson arrived punctually as arranged. Details of the product were clearly explained and there was no ‘hard sell’ to proceed further. We were very impressed by the salesperson’s knowledge, professionalism and general demeanour. The survey and installation staff were clean, very pleasant and punctual; they explained operation of the awning very thoroughly and installed it quickly, leaving no mess.
Product : Although the awning was expensive, it is a robust product and an example of ‘you get what you pay for’. We are delighted with it and would recommend it and Appeal to others.

Service rating : The range of colours and patterns is huge enabling just the desired colour and pattern to be found. I also liked that when the surveyor came to measure he gave us an opportunity to check and change the colour. Also the survey aim was to make sure the awning achieved maximum shading by ensuring perfect positioning and height, overall I thought the service was excellent.
Product : Could not have been easier, we liked the range of purchasing options and are very satisfied.
