What type of dog can read, drive and play snooker? Ching the Hungarian Vizka!

Dog owner Rose Taberrer, and her beloved pet Ching, are the proud winners of our #ULTRA Smart dog competition after sending in a fantastic collage of Ching’s best tricks.

After receiving numerous photos of all breeds of dogs in a bid to find the UK’s smartest dog, Rose’s pet won the competition by wowing the judges with three photographs of Ching playing a game of snooker, reading a guide on ‘How to Catch Cats’ , and driving a red convertible car! Rose has received a home interiors hamper full of John Lewis, Emma Bridgewater and Oliver Bonas items worth £200, and a £30 pet hamper for Ching.

Rose said: “I was absolutely thrilled that Ching was chosen as the winner of Appeal’s #ULTRA Smart dog competition! Although she is now over 12 years old, she still has the same fun personality of a puppy and we wanted to capture that in our photo entry.

“The pet hamper will give Ching a well needed pamper, as due to her age she is unfortunately beginning to turn deaf so she will love the luxury treats. Luckily, we trained her with hand signals and whistles so she can still respond to these and understand our actions. I’m extremely pleased to have won the competition and be able to furnish my home with these beautiful interior prizes.”

Richard Hussey, Marketing Manager at Appeal, sad: “The competition was a great way to celebrate the launch of our new TV advert. The media campaign was created to showcase our ULTRA Smart blinds, which provide the homeowner with an innovative way to control blinds at the touch of a button.”
