Our carpenters use ethically sourced North American Cedar wood, widely recognised as the premium timber for window shutters due to its superior resistance to warping, twisting and shrinking.

This beautiful natural timber also lends itself to attractive finishes, lightness and strength, and its high stability makes it suitable for any shape or size of window – round, triangular or arched. We can even provide blinds in any shape you require to ensure the optimum fit. As this wood is the lightest weight timber available, it will put the minimum stress on your window frame and will ensure ease of use.

It provides exceptional stability and resistance to moisture, heat and cold. In addition it is the only shutter wood that can be oiled for a natural appearance. At Appeal we offer North American Cedar window shutters with either a lustrous oiled finish, or painted in a variety of custom colours; it is your choice.
