UK conservatory business experiences boom in sales

A UK conservatory manufacturer has battled through the recession to post growth above 20 per cent for the third year running.

Wakefield-based Conservatory Outlet saw its sales grow by 27 per cent between 2011-2012, which, according to digitaljournal.com, is the most significant hike ever to be seen by the company.

The firm predominantly sells UPVC conservatories as well as double glazing for the units, but it leaves accessories and furniture to other specialists. So, should one of Fabricator’s customers need to shield their new windows from sunlight, they would need to find a company that sells conservatory blinds.

Furthermore, although showers have been present throughout June, uk.weather.com has reported that temperatures of 20C and above will be felt by London and North East residents later this week, so there’s every chance that long awaited rays could be just around the corner.

In light of the sales figures being announced, Fabricator director Greg Kane said such positive readings are always welcomed by his team, but particularly this year given that they’re piled their efforts into new ventures – like online selling.

Reflecting on a lucrative 12 months, Mr Kane stated: “Of course it’s great to record such positive results and see many of our customers doing the same, as it justifies the investment in websites, literature and product samples that we make when a new dealer joins the Conservatory Outlet.

Mr Kane went on to say that there’s a feel-good factor around Fabricator and a number of other companies within the network, as many are also posting impressive sales figures.
