RuthMeet Appeal Home Shading Design Consultant, Ruth Newman, who works with customers from Lyme Regis to Henley-On-Thames to Cheltenham.

I’ve worked as a Design Consultant for Appeal for 13 years now and a lot of people ask me what my biggest tip is for someone building a new conservatory or extension. My answer is plenty of patience! Joking aside, conservatories or extensions generally take a lot longer than expected and cost more than their original budget, so they require a lot of persistence and hard work, but it all pays off when the project is complete.

My favourite product that we offer is the Appeal Original French Pinoleum Conservatory Blinds range. They always look stunning, are very practical and easy to keep clean. I always recommend lovely muted colours to suit both traditional and contemporary areas. As blinds are in place for a very long time, most people go for neutrals and bring colour in with accessories like rugs and cushions that can be changed to suit the current trend.

What customers love most about Appeal is our honest approach. Appeal is well known for its quality, outstanding service and the story behind the company, which is why we get a lot of returning customers. The best thing about my job is helping someone who is unsure about what they’re looking for find the perfect solution for their home. It’s wonderful to be able to help and see the project come to completion.
