Appeal Home Shading has donated over £400 to the West Midlands Air Ambulance after winning a charity golf day organised by its print supplier, Trustmark.

The Appeal team, consisting of Marketing Director Richard Hussey, Operations Director Paul McCullagh and Installations Manager Andrew Lloyd, travelled to the Southerndown Golf Club in the Vale of Glamorgan to take part in the Trustmark Golf Day.

Individual members of the team also proved to be winners on the day, with Paul McCullagh receiving the trophy for the most points scored and Andrew Lloyd winning the prize for the best round.

The team won the winnings following a bet with Collin White, owner of Trustmark, who ran a book with odds on each team participating. Appeal were down as 20 to 1 outsiders, but Appeal Chairman Michael Madigan had more faith in the Appeal team and wagered £20 on the team. Michael’s investment went on to win £400, which he kindly donated for charity.

The cheque was presented to Thomas Walters of the West Midlands Air Ambulance, who has recently returned from volunteer work in Africa where he was working with Ebola patients.
